Zipwhip, The Riveter Announce Women in STEM Scholarship

Zipwhip, the creators of Texting for Business™, and The Riveter, a modern-day union of working women and allies, have announced a joint scholarship program aimed at supporting young women in science, technology, engineering and math, the company said.

The Women in STEM Scholarship will help one female student further her education in a STEM field. The selected student will receive USD 1,500 from Zipwhip and a six-month Riveter Ally membership, which includes access to all workshops and programs sponsored by The Riveter and other public programs in their spaces, as well as an allotment of floating desk coworking hours per month.

This joint scholarship was a natural choice for Zipwhip and The Riveter, as Zipwhip is a founding corporate partner of the coworking network. Zipwhip employees can access The Riveter´s coworking spaces, events and programming for free as a benefit provided by the company.

The Women in STEM Scholarship is open to women in any city or nearby community where The Riveter operates: Seattle; Bellevue, Washington; Portland, Oregon; Los Angeles; Austin, Texas; Dallas; Minneapolis and Denver. The winner will be announced on The Riveter and Zipwhip blogs on June 1, 2020 after the winner is contacted directly.

Women in these cities enrolled in a technical undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, or enrolled in a technical bootcamp, are invited to apply before May 17, 2020, by visiting www.zipwhip.com/lp/scholarship.
