Zinwave, a global provider of wideband distributed network solutions for in-building wireless, and Vertical Bridge, the largest private owner and manager of communication infrastructure in the US, are partnering to provide in-building wireless connectivity, the companies said.
Under terms of a master services agreement, Vertical Bridge will offer Zinwave´s UNItivity Wideband Distributed Antenna Systems (UNItivity) as a preferred solution for in-building wireless challenges with Zinwave providing equipment, service, and maintenance capabilities.
Vertical Bridge will also directly manage all customer relationships.
The agreement is unique in that it represents a new business model for acquiring in-building wireless infrastructure. While the current approach requires customers to spend CapEx dollars to provide an in-building system, under the new model, users can now switch to an OpEx approach.
With a portfolio of more than 52,000 communication sites, 3,000 of which represent their real estate building assets, Vertical Bridge plans to offer Zinwave´s UNItivity platform and services to mobile operators and private companies that wish to enable or enhance in-building wireless capabilities, whether for public safety or cellular communications.

UNItivity´s unique wideband architecture breaks the cycle of endless DAS upgrades because it supports any frequency from 150 MHz to 2700 MHz, accommodating current and future wireless services without hardware upgrades.
