A global internet service provider has selected Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO) for metro dark fiber infrastructure to replace services from legacy providers and expand their network to new locations, the company said.
The solution leverages Canadian fiber assets from Zayo´s recent Allstream acquisition and the resulting unique cross-border connectivity.
The customer, one of Zayo´s largest metro dark fiber customers in the US and Europe, will consolidate services from legacy providers in Canada to Zayo and add additional network locations. With Zayo´s extensive on-net connectivity to enterprise buildings in Toronto and more than 5,500 route miles in multiple Canadian cities, deployment of the dark fiber solution can begin immediately.
