YYC Introduces photo contest to find pictures for Calgary Airport

Calgary Airport Authority has initiated a “Capture Alberta Through Your Lens” contest for photographers of all skillsets to find pictures that will help welcome passengers to the new International Terminal at YYC, the company said.

The contest will allow both professional and amateur photographers to showcase their work, along with highlighting Calgary and its surrounding areas, to millions of visitors that come through the international hub each year.

Winning photographs will be incorporated into a display in the new International Terminal, while the photographers will have the opportunity to tour the facility before it opens to the public, and take home a cash prize.

A minimum of five winners will be chosen, with both the artists´ name and the winning photographs put on display in the Terminal for up to three years.

The Calgary Airport Authority is a not-for-profit organization incorporated under the Regional Airports Authorities Act of Alberta. The Calgary Airport Authority is responsible for the management, operation and development of Calgary International (YYC) and Springbank (YBW) airports.
