In celebration of the addition of new flights to the mystical autonomous region of Ningxia in northwestern China, the Ningxia Tourism Bureau is offering two fans trips to the region worth USD2,000 each.
Running on 20-25 April on Facebook, all the fans need to do is simply answer the question: “Which scenic spot do you most want to visit in Ningxia and why?”, and include #Reply2Fly2Ningxia in their reply for the chance to win.
The entrant with the most creative answer will win an eight-day trip to this undiscovered gem, while the second and the third-prize winners will receive a USD100 and USD50 Amazon gift voucher respectively. The same contest already ran successfully on Twitter on 22-27 March, and three winners were selected.
Ningxia has been tipped as the next big draw for tourists due to its unique culture and traditions shaped by its large proportion of Muslims and its critical geographical location on the historic Silk Road. The grand prize winners will have the chance to explore this mystical land.
Ningxia Tourism Bureau launched two previous contests to introduce the region to Facebook and Twitter users. Their first competition, #DiscoverNingxia2Win, was held in November 2015, and fans simply had to choose one of the four famous Ningxia scenic spots to visit and comment with the reason for their choices. The grand prize was a Kindle Paperwhite won by one Twitter and one Facebook entrant, while the four runners-up received limited edition sets of Ningxia postcards.
The second contest in December 2015 was run solely on Twitter in English and Arabic under the hashtag #NingxiaIn3Words. Entrants had to describe Ningxia in three words to win a trip to the region. In both cases a panel of judges awarded the most creative answers the prizes. Encouraged by the previous two rounds of contests which significantly increased people´s awareness of the region, Ningxia Tourism Bureau decided to launch the new #Reply2Fly2Ningxia contest.
