Vonage opens lines of communication to Taiwan following earthquake

Vonage (NYSE: VG) said it will waive per-minute calling charges to Taiwan as of 9 a.m. ET today, February 6, 2016 until 11:59 p.m. ET February 12, 2016.

All Vonage residential service customers in the US and Canada calling Taiwan are eligible.

In addition, anyone using the Vonage Mobile® App is eligible for free calls to Taiwan during the same time period. The App is available for iPhone® and Android™ smartphones, and consumers do not need to be Vonage residential service subscribers to use the App.

Only per-minute charges for calls terminating to landline or mobile numbers in Taiwan will be waived from 9 a.m. ET February 6, 2016 until 11:59 p.m. ET February 12, 2016. All other fees including taxes, surcharges and monthly recurring charges (MRCs), etc. will continue to apply.

Mobile carrier data rates may apply to calls made using the Vonage Mobile app.

If calling fees are charged, customers will be credited in a future billing statement.
