Mexico-based ultra-low-cost airline Volaris (NYSE: VLRS) (BMV: VOLAR) has announced Roberto José Kriete Ávila, director of the board of Controladora Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.B. de C.V. and John R. Wilson and Rodrigo Salcedo, alternate directors at Volaris have submitted their resignations as director and alternate directors, respectively, the company said.
Volaris said Marco Baldocchi Kriete, who served as an alternate director, has been appointed as interim director of the board of Volaris and Rodrigo Antonio Escobar Nottebohm as his interim alternate director.
Volaris serves Mexico, the United States and Central America. Volaris has increased its routes from five to 195 and its fleet from four to 78 aircraft. Volaris offers more than 400 daily flight segments on routes that connect 40 cities in Mexico and 26 cities in the United States and Central America with one of the youngest fleets in the Americas.
