Vodafone launches MachineLink 4G developed by NetComm

Vodafone has launched the Vodafone MachineLink 4G, a 4G LTE M2M device developed by NetComm Wireless Limited (ASX: NTC), to strengthen coverage, capacity and remote connectivity as business customers extend their use of M2M, the company said.

Developed to meet the global deployment requirements of Vodafone Enterprise and its partners, the MachineLink 4G is expected to accelerate the adoption of M2M which is experiencing year-on-year growth of 23 percent, according to the third annual Vodafone M2M barometer report.

The MachineLink 4G integrates the Vodafone Global SIM to provide a solution that can be deployed virtually anywhere. The device combines edge processing capabilities with the ability to manage mobile and bandwidth-intensive applications that transmit large volumes of data in real time in areas such as smart buildings, healthcare, security, transport and retail.

NetComm Wireless is a developer of wireless Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices for telecommunications carriers, core network providers and system integrators.
