View has announced that San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has selected View Dynamic Glass for the redevelopment of Terminal 1, the company said.
The airport will install more than 66,000 square feet of View Dynamic Glass to create a world-class travel experience while achieving leadership in energy efficiency at one of the world´s busiest airports.
“View Dynamic Glass is the ideal solution to improve the comfort and travel experience for millions of passengers and thousands of SFO and airline employees by bringing in more natural light into the terminal, while minimizing glare and heat,” said Kirsten Ritchie of Gensler, the architectural firm leading the project.
The Delta Sky Club at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Fort Worth´s Meacham International Airport and now San Francisco International Airport have all selected View Dynamic Glass in their recent upgrades.
View manufactures View Dynamic Glass, a new generation of architectural glass that transitions through multiple tint states to control the sun´s energy, providing an enhanced occupant experience and optimum natural light and thermal comfort. The company has more than doubled installations of View Dynamic Glass in the last 12 months, with over 300 completed commercial installations and another 150 in progress across a variety of commercial markets such as corporate offices, healthcare, government, higher education, and hospitality.
