Vietnam Airlines to add flights to Indonesia to serve Vietnamese football fans

Vietnam Airlines has announced it plans to arrange additional flights to Jakarta, Indonesia to serve football fans in Vietnam, following the Olympic team´s entry into the quarter finals at the ASIAD 2018, company said.

The country´s flag carrier plans to launch two direct flights from Hanoi to Jakarta and add one more HCM City – Jakarta round trip on the day of the match between Vietnam and Syria.

Vietnam Airlines will partner with tourism companies in Hanoi, Da Nang and HCM City to create travel packages that include flight, match ticket, tour guide and travel fees for tourists.

Vietnam Airlines was founded in 1956 under the name Vietnam Civil Aviation. The airline was established as a state-owned enterprise in April 1989. Vietnam Airlines is headquartered in Long Biên District, Hanoi, with hubs at Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The airline flies to 64 destinations in 17 countries, excluding codeshared services.
