Vietjet has agreed to buy the Pratt and Whitney PurePower Geared Turbofanâ¢ (GTF) engine to power its order of 63 Airbus A320neo and A321neo family of aircraft, the company said.
Deliveries are expected to begin in 2017.
The PurePower Geared Turbofan engine family has about 7,000 orders, including options, with more than 70 customers from more than 30 countries.
Vietjet operates an extensive flight network in Vietnam and is expanding its operation throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
