Verizon declares USD0.5775 quarterly dividend

The board of directors of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ) has declared a quarterly dividend of USD0.5775 per outstanding share, unchanged from the previous quarter, the company said.

The dividend is payable on Feb. 1, 2017, to Verizon shareowners of record at the close of business on Jan. 10, 2017.

Verizon has approximately 4.1 billion shares of common stock outstanding. The company made USD6.9 billion in cash dividend payments in the first nine months of 2016.

Verizon Communications, headquartered in New York City, has a diverse workforce of 162,000 and generated nearly USD132 billion in 2015 revenues. The company operates a wireless network with 113.7 million retail connections nationwide. It also provides communications and entertainment services over mobile broadband and an all-fiber network, and delivers integrated business solutions to customers worldwide.
