Vencore, Inc. said it was awarded a prime contracting position with the General Services Administration´s Public Building Service to manage its portal interface to PBS applications.
The three-year contract term includes two one-year extension options valued at up to USD7.4 million.
Vencore will provide operations and maintenance of the PBS intranet portal, the PBS extranet portal and the PBS WebCenter under the scope of the program. Vencore will also manage the operations and maintenance of the User Identity Management System (UIMS) as a required enhancement.
This program serves GSA´s Office of the Chief Information Officer in its Office of Public Buildings Information Technology Services (PB-ITS) function. Vencore´s work will support the national and regional applications that are utilized by the PBS organization on a daily basis.
Currently, the portal allows intranet and extranet users to access applications via a single sign on (SSO) process with UIMS, which allows users to request access to one or more of the core business line applications via a single access request process. Additionally, UIMS utilizes the Oracle Internet directory (OID) to authenticate a user´s access privileges or roles during the SSO process.
