Vector names new chief revenue officer

Vector has announced it has appointed Robert Cleave, former president of launch services at Lockheed Martin, as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the company said.

With more than 30 years of expertise in the space industry as an engineer, program manager, and general manager, Cleave was responsible for a USD 1 billion line of business as well as P&L budget management.

At Vector, he will oversee and manage all revenue-generating activities including acquiring new customers and continuing to partner with current customers to grow the existing launch manifest.

Prior to joining Vector, Cleave founded the world´s first company to commercialize X-band frequencies (XTAR, LLC) and was recruited by Lockheed Martin to manage business development activities for the multi-billion dollar organization, subsequently becoming its president of commercial launch services and vice president of its commercial satellite business unit.
