US Army approves Piedmont's rotor hub for Black Hawk helicopters

Piedmont Propulsion Systems, LLC (PPS) has received approval from the US Army research, development and engineering command for maintenance and overhaul activities on the UH-60 Black Hawk main rotor hub, the company said.

The company said the approval marks a milestone in its expansion into the military helicopter MRO market. The UH-60 twin-engine helicopter is the US Army´s primary medium lift utility transport and air assault aircraft.

Piedmont Propulsion Systems, LLC, a subsidiary of First Aviation Services Inc., provides propeller maintenance and overhaul for the United States Government, including existing contracts and subcontracts supporting the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce and Department of Justice.
