United announces increases in RPM, ASM for March 2017

United Airlines (UAL) has reported March 2017 consolidated traffic (revenue passenger miles, RPM) increased 3.0% and consolidated capacity (available seat miles, ASM) increased 3.4% versus March 2016, the company said.

UAL´s March 2017 consolidated load factor decreased 0.3 points compared to March 2016.

The company expects first-quarter 2017 consolidated passenger unit revenue to be approximately flat compared to the first quarter of 2016.

United Airlines and United Express operate more than 4,500 flights a day to 339 airports across five continents. In 2016, United and United Express operated more than 1.6 million flights carrying more than 143 million customers.

The airline operates 737 mainline aircraft and its United Express partners operate 483 regional aircraft, and is a founding member of Star Alliance, which provides service to 192 countries via 28 member airlines.
