United Airlines (NYSE: UAL) and Tribeca Digital Studios have partnered to create Destination: Team USA, a documentary focused on five Olympic athletes for whom the opportunity to represent the United States in Brazil means overcoming opponents on the road to Rio and personal odds, the company said.
The documentary chronicles the training, focus and commitment of these athletes as they travel the world with the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in their sights. The documentary invites United Airlines customers to experience the stories while onboard a flight, beginning July 1.
United premiered the documentary in a surprise screening on June 24 on flight 408 from Newark Liberty to Chicago O´Hare. The film´s director, Adam Hootnick, Team USA hopeful Dartanyon Crockett and producers from Tribeca were onboard for the screening.
