United Airlines partners with relief organizations to support those affected by Hurricane Matthew

United Airlines (NYSE: UAL) has partnered with disaster relief organizations, including the American Red Cross, Americares, Airlink and OperationUSA to help support families and individuals affected by Hurricane Matthew, the company said.

The airline said it plans to provide up to five million bonus miles to MileagePlus customers who donate to these organizations through the online donations platform, CrowdRise. United plans to give up to a total of USD100,000 to match donations to these organizations.

Since 2013, United and United customers have contributed more than USD4 million to disaster relief efforts.

MileagePlus customers who give to the American Red Cross, Americares, Airlink and OperationUSA can receive up to 1,000 bonus miles by entering their MileagePlus number at the time of their donation.
United Airlines and United Express operate more than 4,500 flights a day to 339 airports across five continents. In 2015, United and United Express operated more than 1.5 million flights carrying more than 140 million customers.
