United Airlines (UAL) has announced 30-year United veteran Gerry Laderman has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer, the company said.
UAL conducted an internal and external search to fill the role; Laderman had been serving as acting chief financial officer since May.
Previously, Laderman served as senior vice president of finance, procurement and treasurer and as a member of the senior executive leadership team. He has held financial positions of increasing responsibility and will be responsible for developing United´s overall financial strategy, including cost management, capital allocation and balance sheet optimization.
United Airlines and United Express operate approximately 4,600 flights a day to 357 airports across five continents. In 2017, United and United Express operated more than 1.6 million flights carrying more than 148 million customers.
