United Airlines launches direct service from Denver to Monterey County

Monterey, California Convention & Visitors Bureau (MCCVB) has announced United Airlines launched direct service between Monterey, California and Denver, Colorado, beginning October 4, the company said.

The new route will offer visitors nearly 100 connection opportunities to key domestic and international destinations throughout the country. With two daily flights, passengers will be able to travel seamlessly between California´s golden coast and the “Mile High City.”

The visitor´s bureau said the new flight opens up Monterey County to the East Coast and allows the bureau to introduce California´s golden coast to prospective meetings and group business in the Eastern United States.

The 50-seat regional jet aircraft will depart and return twice daily from Denver.

The Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau (MCCVB) is a 501c6 organization that drives tourism for Monterey County. Tourism is the largest industry on the Monterey Peninsula and the second largest in the County. The MCCVB is a partnership of the hospitality community and local governments that aims to drive business growth through compelling marketing and targeted sales initiatives that maximize the benefits of tourism.

United Airlines and United Express operate approximately 4,600 flights a day to 357 airports across five continents. In 2017, United and United Express operated more than 1.6 million flights carrying more than 148 million customers.
