Ubisense Group plc (AIM: UBI) and Bosch Rexroth have joined forces to offer real-time tracking of tools and tightening operations, the companies said.
Developed specifically for aerospace assembly lines, the joint venture combines Bosch Rexroth´s Nexo Cordless Nutrunner and Ubisense´s Smart Factory solutions.
Ubisense´s readers detect the precise location of tagged Bosch Rexroth tools on the assembly lines, avoiding tools being lost or misplaced with the associated disruption and need to repurchase.
Ubisense´s Smart Factory gathers location data through its Real-Time Location System (RTLS), which includes hardware tags and sensors that connect via ultra-wideband radio signals to pinpoint the exact location and identity of assets in the manufacturing process.
