Two Hat Security gets patent for disruptive user ID tool

Two Hat Security has announced that it has received a patent for its User Reputation technology, a key feature in its enterprise content filter and automated moderation tool, Community Sift, the company said.

The feature allows gaming and social platforms to proactively filter user-generated content like chat, comments and images more flexibly and accurately than standard profanity filters.

The patent is for a System and Method For Managing Online Messages Using Trust Values. Brands use the feature to promote positive user interactions in real time. Community Sift is the only moderation API to hold such a patent, and uses a unique combination of risk, context, and user behavior to detect and remove high-risk content like harassment, abuse, and hate speech.

Founded in 2012, Two Hat Security empowers gaming and social platforms to foster healthier online communities. With their flagship product Community Sift, an enterprise-level content filter and automated moderation tool, online communities can proactively filter abuse, harassment, hate speech, and other disruptive behavior.
