Turkish Airlines has begun it´s fourth annual open in Antalya, with 78 golfers competing for a USD7.0 million prize fund and points in the Race to Dubai, the company said.
The company said Masters champion Danny Willett is one of the 78-man field that also includes Ryder Cup contestants Lee Westwood and Andy Sullivan.
The airline is behind Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, with around 100 players, reduced from an initial 7,500 across the globe, competing for the title. Turkish Airlines also supports the challenge tour golf event.
Turkish Airlines has a fleet of 335 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 292 destinations worldwide with 243 international and 49 domestic.
Turkish Golf Federation (TGF) offers a range of national and international tournaments each year. This is the fourth year TGF has promoted the Turkish Airlines Open and it also put on the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final and the World Amateur Team Championship in 2012.
