TransDigm Group Incorporated (NYSE: TDG) has reported USD 323 million in second quarter fiscal year 2020 net income, an increase of 61.5%, compared to USD 200 million in the comparable quarter a year ago, the company said.
Net sales for the quarter rose 23.5%, or USD 275 million, to USD 1,443 million from USD 1,168 million in the comparable quarter a year ago. Organic sales growth was 4.8%. Acquisition sales growth over the comparable quarter a year ago was USD 219 million.
Adjusted net income for the quarter increased 24.8% to USD 292 million, or USD 5.10 per share, from USD 234 million, or USD 4.16 per share, in the comparable quarter a year ago.
EBITDA for the quarter increased 31.2% to USD 661 million from USD 504 million for the comparable quarter a year ago. EBITDA As Defined for the period increased 19.3% to USD 675 million compared with USD 566 million in the comparable quarter a year ago. EBITDA As Defined as a percentage of net sales for the quarter was 46.8%.
TransDigm Group, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, is a global designer, producer and supplier of highly engineered aircraft components for use on nearly all commercial and military aircraft in service today.
