TNS, Cequint deploy next generation robocall solution

Transaction Network Services (TNS) and its subsidiary, Cequint, are providing Sprint (NYSE: S) with an important new service which will help protect Sprint´s customers from unwanted robocallers and caller ID spoofers.

Sprint uses Cequint´s Enhanced Caller ID service in conjunction with TNS Call Guardian service to identify fraudulent and nuisance callers as well as caller ID spoofing. The combined service provides Sprint´s Premium Caller ID customers with protection against problem callers. The service is newly available on Sprint´s HTC Bolt, and will be available on more devices soon.

TNS Call Guardian´s telephone number scoring and categorization algorithm is based on network data gathered via TNS´ unique position in the public telephone network. TNS handles 25 billion call events every month from over 400 operators.
