T-Mobile customers will be among the 300,000 guests over the course of this year´s Kentucky Derby, thanks to Mobilitie´s Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that will ensure T-Mobile customers have access to high speed 4G LTE services, the company said.
T-Mobile continues to build out its 4G LTE coverage, having added over one million new square miles of LTE in 2015, which now reaches over 308M Americans. By expanding its nationwide Wideband LTE, T-Mobile has remained America´s Fastest 4G LTE network for nine straight quarters.
The DAS installation at Churchill Downs consists of multiple strategically placed antennas that distribute T-Mobile´s wireless network coverage throughout the entire 5.1 million square foot venue, including the clubhouse, parking lots and infield. The multiple antenna arrangement helps the network manage wireless capacity in heavily-trafficked areas, bringing better and more consistent wireless coverage to customers in both the indoor and outdoor spaces.
