Surrey County, England Council picks MobileIron

South East of England Surrey County Council, with a population of more than 1.1 million people, has decided to initiate a mobile strategy, with the help of MobileIron (NASDAQ: MOBL), the council said.

As part of its Modern Worker programme, Surrey County Council ensured staff had MobileIron-secured iOS devices.

The deployment allows employees to read emails, open email attachments, make edits, and send documents on to colleagues, without having to return to the office or open a laptop.

MobileIron provides a secure foundation for companies around the world to transform into Mobile First organizations.

Surrey County Council governs the non-metropolitan county of Surrey in England. The council is responsible for many local public services in Surrey, such as highway management, waste disposal, and social services. Created in 1889, Surrey County Council´s current leader is David Hodge.
