SuperCom subsidiary to implement new supportive service program

SuperCom (NASDAQ: SPCB) subsidiary Leaders in Community Alternatives (LCA) has been selected to implement and deploy a community-based supportive services program to reduce recidivism in a new county in Northern California, further expanding its presence in the state, the company said.

This new program, which is expected to commence in February 2017, is valued at approximately USD500,000 per year and was awarded for an initial term of 18 months with an optional extension of up to five years, which equals USD750,000 to USD2.5 million in total program revenue. Based on historical information, similar programs typically run for three to five years before being put out for bid again.

Under the contract, LCA will provide a comprehensive employment program providing evidence-based and individualized services that contribute to a reduction in recidivism. These type of programs are aimed at supporting those reentering the community from periods of incarceration. The program is expected to provide LCA with a valuable platform in this county opening up other potential growth opportunities.
