Sundance Helicopters, Inc. has partnered with the Clark County School District (CCSD) to offer complimentary tours of Grand Canyon West to CCSD students and teachers, the company said.
Sundance said the tours are part of an initiative to support and give back to the community.
Grand Canyon West (GCW) is owned and operated by Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GGRC), the operating entity of The Hualapai Native American Tribe. GCRC is also supporting this initiative by providing complimentary lunches as well as access to its popular Skywalk attraction.
Beginning November 29 and continuing throughout the academic school year, students will be transported by bus between Las Vegas and Grand Canyon West for this full-day adventure. CCSD teachers will apply to participate in the field trips by creating lesson plans focused on Nevada Academic Content Standards.
Sundance Helicopters, Inc. was founded in 1985 as Helicopter Services of Nevada. Air Methods Corporation, an air medical transportation company, is the parent company of Sundance. The company is a Grand Canyon tour operator that carries more than 200,000 passengers each year.
