Sun Country Airlines to feature Minnesota illustrations in fleet

Each airplane in Sun Country Airline´s fleet will be named after a Minnesota lake and will feature custom lake-themed art, the airline said.

Sun Country has commissioned Minneapolis-based artist Mark Herman to create the custom illustrations for each plane. This ´Hometown Lakes Project´ artwork will be completed over the next several months.

Sun Country unveiled the first completed aircraft, Lake Bemidji, at its hangar at Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport. The aircraft features its new Lake Bemidji name on the exterior of the aircraft, under either side of the cockpit, as well as outside the front boarding door. On the inside of the aircraft, the iconic Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox´s lakeside attraction is the art inside the aircraft.
