STS airport celebrates 10 years of Alaska Airlines service

Charles M. Schulz — Sonoma County Airport (STS) has celebrated its 10th anniversary of air service provided by Alaska Airlines, the company said.

This milestone marks the airline´s popular and convenient service that has carried nearly 2.25 million passengers on 38,000 flights to and from STS. To celebrate, the airport offered cupcakes and giveaways.

Since Alaska´s arrival in 2007, the airline has increased the number of daily flights on STS routes by 75%. It averages up to nine flights per day to and from STS. Alaska Airlines service now includes daily flights to Los Angeles (LAX), Portland (PDX), San Diego (SAN), Seattle (SEA), and Orange County (SNA). All routes utilize the 76-seat, Bombardier Q400, turboprop aircraft.
