Spok Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPOK), a global provider of healthcare communications, has announced operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017, the company said.
In addition, the company´s board of directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of USD 0.125 per share, payable on June 23, 2017 to stockholders of record on May 23, 2017.
In the 2017 first quarter, consolidated revenue was USD 41.4 million, compared to USD 45.4min the first quarter of 2016 and USD 44.2min the fourth quarter of 2016.
Software revenue was USD 15.6min the first quarter of 2017, compared to USD 17.2min the first quarter of 2016.
Wireless revenue totaled USD 25.8min the first quarter, compared to USD 26.5min the prior quarter and USD 28.2min the prior-year quarter.
Net income for the first quarter of 2017 was USD 0.9 million, or USD 0.04 per share, compared to USD 3.4 million, or USD 0.17 per share, in the first quarter of 2016.
The company also announced that its board of directors has authorized the repurchase of up to USD 10m of the Company´s common stock through 2017 on the open market or in privately negotiated transactions.
