Spirit Airlines makes executive appointments

Spirit Airlines (NASDAQ: SAVE) has named two new executives to its leadership team, the company said.

Matt Klein joins Spirit as the senior vice president and chief commercial officer and Rocky Wiggins joins as the senior vice president and chief information officer effective September 26, 2016.

Klein will lead revenue and marketing strategy, managing Spirit´s network planning, pricing & revenue management and consumer marketing teams. He most recently worked in various consulting capacities in the travel industry.

Wiggins will drive Spirit´s IT strategy and operations as the company strengthens its business solutions, operations and customer experience. He comes to Spirit with 35 years of experience in the travel industry where he has become a leader in technology innovation. His experience includes serving as executive vice president & chief information officer of WestJet.

Spirit Airlines operates over 425 daily flights to more than 56 destinations in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean.
