Spirit Airlines expands service into North Carolina's Research Triangle

Spirit Airlines has announced that beginning on May 2, 2019, it will launch service to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), serving the Research Triangle, from Baltimore/Washington, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans and Orlando, the company said.

The new routes will also create dozens of connections to other destinations in the United States, as well as the Caribbean and Latin America. Raleigh-Durham will mark Spirit´s third destination in the North Carolina, joining the Piedmont Triad and Asheville currently served by the airline.

Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) operates more than 600 daily flights to 72 destinations in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean.
