Spirit Airlines announces 5th Colombian destination

Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) has announced it plans to add service to Cali as its fifth destination in Colombia beginning December 20, 2018, the company said.

Spirit will connect Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) with daily nonstop service. The connection will also provide a gateway to dozens of other Spirit destinations in the United States.

The city of Cali and the Valle de Cauca Department region serves as home to more than three million people, and will mark Spirit´s 68th service station in its growing network. Cali joins the other vibrant Colombian cities of Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín, and Armenia currently served by the airline. Cali will be Spirit´s 17th destination in Latin America and 28th destination outside the continental United States.

With Spirit´s expanding network, the airline continues to improve on its on-time performance and Guest satisfaction, while building upon its larger commitment to invest in the Guest experience.

Spirit Airlines provides customizable travel options starting with an unbundled fare. This allows every Guest to pay only for the options they choose — like bags, seat assignments and refreshments. The company operates more than 500 daily flights to 68 destinations in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean, and are dedicated to giving back and improving the communities we serve.
