Spirent approved as test lab for new cybersecurity certification

Spirent Communications plc (LSE:SPT), has announced that it has been approved as an Authorized Test Lab for CTIA IoT Cybersecurity Certification, a new testing program designed to confirm the security designs and capabilities of cellular-connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the company said.

Spirent SecurityLabs collaborated with wireless operators, technology companies, security experts and other test labs throughout the development of the program´s test requirements and plans.

Spirent has extensive experience in the security and performance evaluation of cellular- and network-connected IoT devices, is a prominent member of the IoT Community, and a sponsor of the IoT Slam conference. Bill Mortimer, vice president of strategic marketing at Spirent, is the current Advisory Board Chairman for the IoT Community.
