Southwest plans daily service between LAX, Liberia/Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) has published its initial flight schedule for international service at Terminal 2, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with daily service beginning Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from LAX to Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR) in Liberia/Guanacaste, Costa Rica, subject to foreign government approval, the airlines said.

The carrier is offering introductory one-way fares as low as USD 149 one-way.

Beginning April 12, 2016, Southwest will offer daily, scheduled service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR), with the first northbound flight departing daily the following day.

In its 45th year of service, Dallas-based Southwest Airlines operates a network of 97 destinations across the United States and seven additional countries with more than 3,900 departures a day during peak travel season.
