Board of directors of Southwest Airlines Pilots´ Association (SWAPA) has reported it will present the recently announced contract agreement to Southwest pilots for a vote, the association said.
The company said the tentative agreement acknowledges their contributions. Over the next few weeks, union leaders plan to share the terms of the agreement with the pilot group as well as information about the voting process. If approved, the new contract will become amendable August 31, 2020.
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) provides air service to more than 100 million customers annually. The airline operates more than 3,900 departures a day during peak travel season across a network of 98 destinations in the United States and seven additional countries with service to three airports in Cuba expected to begin later this year, subject to governmental approvals.
