Southwest Airlines flight attendants to vote on new agreement

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) has reported the Executive Board of Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 556, the union that represents Southwest´s flight attendants, has voted to put the tentative agreement out to Southwest flight attendants for a ratification vote.

The company said the union will share the terms of the agreement with its members, as well as information about the voting process.

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines operates more than 3,900 departures a day during peak travel season across a network of 98 destinations in the United States and seven additional countries with service to three airports in Cuba expected to begin later this year, subject to governmental approvals.
