Southwest Airlines extends flight schedule to include Oakland/Mexico service

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) has extended the carrier´s bookable flight schedule from March 9 through April 24, 2017, while publishing new service to Mexico´s beach resorts from Oakland International Airport, the company said.

The carrier received US Department of Transportation (DOT) approval following its application and announced intention of service between Northern California and two destinations on Mexico´s Pacific coast. Additional routes newly link cities with nonstop service across the United States.

Beginning March 9, 2017, Southwest said it will add daily service between Houston (Hobby) and Omaha and between New York/Newark and Ft. Lauderdale.

In its 46th year of service, Dallas-based Southwest delivers service to more than 100 million customers annually, operating more than 3,900 departures a day across a network of 98 destinations in the United States and seven additional countries.
