Southwest Airlines expands service to Nashville

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) has announced it has expanded its flight schedule through August 5, 2019, bringing several new nonstop flights into its route network, the company said.

Effective June 9, 2019, the carrier will add daily nonstop service between:

-Nashville and Burbank
-Nashville and San Jose, Calif.

Southwest will add seasonal service on Sundays between Nashville and Omaha.

On June 10, 2019, the carrier will also increase the number of roundtrip flights between:

Nashville and Boston, Nashville and Detroit, Nashville and Las Vegas, Nashville and Minneapolis, Nashville and San Diego, Nashville and St. Louis.

The carrier also announced the return of popular seasonal routes from Nashville including weekend service between Nashville and Norfolk, Virginia and Nashville and Seattle.

With the new routes and frequency increases listed above, Southwest will offer 124 departures a day on weekdays and 133 departures on Sundays.
