Travel Talk has reported the Solomon Islands government has approved Solomon Airlines to operate a series of private charter flights to Australia, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea, the news source said.
All flights will comply with COVID-19 safety regulations and requirements of the countries. The airline´s Airbus A320 aircraft, currently based in Brisbane, will first operate Brisbane to Honiara on its weekly Cargo service run between Brisbane and Honiara.
The aircraft will overnight in Honiara in preparation to operate the upcoming charter flights. Solomon Airlines will operate a private charter from Honiara to Apia, Port Vila and return.
These special charter flights are open to returning citizens or those with the necessary approvals to meet stringent entry requirements of each country. Passengers are personally responsible for meeting all entry requirements.
