Smiths Detection CTiX scanners approved for testing at 2 US airports

Smiths Detection has announced its HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX has been approved for live baggage screening tests at two US airports: Los Angeles International Airport and St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the company said.

This is part of a larger TSA initiative to install Computed Tomography (CT) scanners in checkpoints at select US airports as a step forward in their continuous efforts to raise the baseline for aviation security.
