SkyWest reports 6.3% increase in September 2019 block hours

Utah-based SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) has reported SkyWest Airlines announced 116,599 block hours in September 2019, an increase of 6.3% compared September 2018, the company said.

SkyWest Airlines´ higher production was primarily due to the incremental E175 aircraft, CRJ900 aircraft and CRJ700 aircraft added to SkyWest Airlines´ fleet since September 2018.

September 2019 passengers were 3,514,309, compared to 3,276,348, a 7.3% increase over September 2018.

Load factor in September 2019 was 81.6 pts, compared to 80.9 pts in September 2018, an increase of 0.7 pts.

On January 22, 2019, SkyWest completed the sale of ExpressJet Airlines to a third party. Flight statistics are SkyWest Airlines only and exclude ExpressJet in both periods presented because of lack of comparability.
