SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW) has announced it has promoted Justin Esplin as SkyWest´s Vice President of Information Technology (IT), succeeding Jim Jensen, who has announced he will retire at the end of 2018 following 33 years of service, the company said.
In his role as VP, Justin will oversee all of SkyWest´s IT operations for operating subsidiaries SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, including hardware, software, application development and Internet security. This includes oversite of the more than 100 SkyWest IT professionals who support more than 2,500 daily departures across the entity.
Esplin brings more than 17 years´ SkyWest IT experience to his role, and has helped lead and implement SkyWest´s application development, business automation, software integration and database systems. He joined SkyWest in 2001 and was named Director of Application Development in 2008.
