Singapore Airlines appoints independent director to board

Singapore Airlines has appointed Lee Kim Shin to its board as an independent non-executive director, effective September 1, the company said.

The company said directors Christina Ong and Lucien Wong Yuen Kuai are retiring from the Singapore Airlines Board. Ong and Wong both joined the board on September 1, 2007.

Lee has 30 years of experience in the legal profession and is managing partner of Allen & Gledhill LLP.

Singapore Airlines Limited is the flag carrier of Singapore with its hub at Singapore Changi Airport. The Singapore Airlines group includes airline-related subsidiaries, including SIA Engineering Company, Singapore Airlines Cargo and SilkAir.
