Sinclair proposes private offering of senior unsecured notes of Sinclair television group

Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBGI) wholly owned subsidiary, Sinclair Television Group, Inc. has proposed offering USD350.0 million aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes in a private offering, the company said.

The company said the net proceeds from the private placement of notes are intended to be used to redeem STG´s 6.375 percent senior unsecured notes due 2021 with an outstanding principal amount of USD350.0 million.

Sinclair is a large, diversified television broadcasting company that owns, operates and/or provides services to 173 television stations in 81 markets, broadcasting 481 channels and having affiliations with all the major networks. Sinclair´s content is delivered via multiple-platforms, including over-the-air, multi-channel video program distributors, and digital platforms.
