Sheremetyevo hosts literary marathon to honor Russian author Pushkin

Moscow´s Sheremetyevo International Airport has announced it hosted Everybody Has His Own Pushkin, an online promotion of prominent representatives of modern Russian culture to honor the life and works of Alexander Pushkin, the company said.

The program featured Russian actors, actresses, writers, TV anchors and others to pay homage to their favorite works by Pushkin.

The main objective of the project was to popularize the poet´s cultural legacy to remember granting his name to Sheremetyevo Airport. The literary marathon was an online platform where famous actors, actresses, musicians and writers will invite viewers to share their admiration and love for Pushkin´s immortal works, which have become part of the cultural DNA of the nation.

The name of A.S. Pushkin is reflected in the conceptual design of Sheremetyevo International Airport, the themes of the airport´s interactive events for passengers and guests, and unique projects aimed at popularizing his work.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is a European airport hub and the largest Russian airport in terms of passenger and cargo traffic. In 2019, the airport served nearly 50 million passengers, 8.9% more than in 2018.
