Serco appoints senior consultant to support global aviation

Serco Inc. has announced it has appointed Michael Huerta as a Senior Consultant to provide strategic guidance to Serco´s aviation business in the US, the company said.

In this position, Huerta will have a role in developing the aviation strategy globally

In January 2018, Huerta completed a five-year term as Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) where he was responsible for the safety and efficiency of the largest aerospace system in the world and oversaw a USD 15.9 billion budget and more than 47,000 employees.

Serco is the largest private Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP) in the world, with over 700 air traffic controllers. Serco´s air traffic controllers provide services to more than 4.7 million aircraft per year.
