Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) has announced an agreement with Sprint to make available a new LTE Cat 1 module designed for the Sprint LTE network, the company said.
The new SP150Q module is based on Sequans´ Calliope LTE Cat 1 Platform and includes RF support for Sprint´s LTE bands, 2, 25/2, and 26/5. The Calliope Platform is compliant with 3GPP Release 10 and 11, supports LTE Cat 1 throughput, and is multiband FDD and TDD capable. The SP150Q module is the result of the collaboration of Sequans and Sprint on the development of connectivity solutions to support Sprint´s IoT strategy, and is the first of several planned LTE IoT products to become available.
